The rake vacuum dryer is mainly composed of cylinder, jacket/half tube, main shaft (rake teeth), end cover, sealing device, rotary joint, transmission device, frame and other parts. The cylinder body is designed with a vacuum port, a feeding port, an overhaul port and a feeding port.
The material to be dried is added to the inside of the cylinder through the feeding port by a conveying equipment (usually a screw conveyor). The shaft with stirring rake teeth continuously rotates to stir the material, and the material reciprocates. Heating is generally designed as a jacketed or semi-tube type vacuum dryer, with steam/heat transfer oil/hot water and other heat sources inside. At the same time, the shaft and the rake wall are also designed as hollow, which transfers heat to the material in both aspects. At the same time, the inside of the cylinder is evacuated through the vacuum port to maintain the vacuum degree inside the cylinder, and the evaporated moisture is also evacuated out of the dryer. If a condenser is added, the solvent can be recovered.
The specifications of rake vacuum dryers are mainly 500L, 1000L, 2000L, 3000L, 5000L, 10000L, etc. The batch loading factor is about 0.6, and the model can be selected according to actual needs. The materials for the contact parts of conventional materials are 304, 316, 2205, etc. For special materials, the material contact parts such as the rake tooth shaft and barrel can also be sprayed, and silicon carbide, Teflon, etc. can be sprayed.
The rake vacuum dryer has simple working principle, stable operation, and high drying efficiency; materials can get good drying results at low temperatures. It is currently a widely used vacuum drying equipment in the chemical and environmental protection industries.
